I'm sick (and "sick") often, and yet have never missed the crazy shit. Meanwhile, a close friend of mine was sick yesterday after a nearly flawless record all year, and missed the rest of our friend group discovering a secret room in our school that contained a book from 1606.

We told a teacher (who often just ignores the rules if it's more fun) about it, he agreed that it should probably not be so accessible, nor so forgotten.
Anyway, the next day, one my friends (the guy who originally found the book) took it home with him, to get a better look at it. He sent a photo of the first page, giving those who weren't there a better look.
One of the people who wasn't there, the one who had been ill, looked it up, and found out that our book isn't *the original*, but it is from the first reprint. The actual original is apparently in a museum in Rome, according to her research.
Update from a more recent day: As of Thursday, 3rd of February 2022, the hidden door is locked, and we had returned the book on the 1st of February, so this is kinda inconvenient.

back in 4th grade I got a fever, went home in the middle of the school, the next day I was fine then my friends came rushing into me as I was entering the classroom that they got free time on the last subjects and that they all played together the whole time for like 2 hours. This isn't that bad, but like Math and English was the last two subjects so I was happy cause I hated those two subjects so much cause they're hard..

Oh my... This happened to my two kids right before Christmas. My son got sick, so I didn't send him and my daughter to school. Obviously the Covid was peaking too.
Anyways it was supposed to be the horse carriage ride that day that they both missed. I did signed them up and they were so heart broken to miss it.
But being a mom, their health is the most precious thing for me.

same girl one day I had a bad fever , so mom told me to stay at home I was in like 5th grade or something and then tomorrow when I came to school I found out that yesterday was the birthday of the twins in my class and they had the cat cutting at the school and gave the cake to all the students they also gave the students chocolates and chip packets!! also the math teacher was absent and they watched movies!! I cried because of how much fun I missed.
I remember getting hospitalized and that was the day the whole school had a pizza party lmfao
I missed school when I was twelve once and they were serving pizza in the canteen, my fave author came in to give a speech, and my least favorite teacher was sacked. Best day ever and I missed it.

For me when I was absent our homeroom teacher exploded with anger and kicked a bucket in front of the class. It was the very first time he got angry. The next day i showed up and asked what happened yesterday, they told me it was epic.

I missed a day of school where they gave kids who did good on something rewards. I finally won that stupid weekly thing and I wasn't there (my friends told me).
Years ago, I had this Spanish class where you had to walk outside into this little indoor classroom. There was sprinklers on the way there, and they always went off right after we walked away from them. The kids always sighed whenever they didn't go off when we walked near them.
Everyone agreed that one day they would go off as we walked near them, making us all get wet. We all thought it would be fun when they went off and wet us. One day I was absent, and I come bqck to school to find everyone talking about how the sprinklers wet them and how fun it was.
I'm still a bit upset about it lmao
And then you wake up and be like “I would be in lunch rn!”
