Just to correct a big mistake there:
The Al Maktoum International Airport located in Jebel Ali is mostly a airport used by cargo freighters. Planned to become the worlds busiest airport had its plans bring to a halt because of the economic crisis and uncertainty.
The airport that you mentioned as the 4th busiest with over 90 million passengers is no more than DXB international airport.
Get your info from reliable sources please

@Fairoz Shaheryar the mistake is that in the video the author refers the Al Maktoum airport as the 4th busiest. Nothing further from the true. The 4th busiest is the DXB airport, is a completely different airport

    • Fairoz Shaheryar
Fairoz Shaheryar Hace un año +3

Actually By 2019 statistics, DXB was the 4th busiest airport. Yes this video has been published in 2021 but stats are correct as 2020 stats have not been released. The loss can only be estimation.

Remember Dubai never fails to impress you
Update 5/3/2022: I went the second time and it kinda disappointed me, Mostly the urban planning, I was pissed at where they placed Ciel tower WHICH WAS IN FRONT OFTHE BEAUTIFUL CAYAN TOWER, I also saw poor labor camps, honestly Dubai doesn't as feel-good anymore but it's still great if you want to go there for a vacation.

Great Video. Unfortunately the section about the airport is not correct. Although the new airport was built with the intent to become the world biggest airport it never really received attention by airlines. Even Dubai's flagship carrier Emirates refuses to use it and prefers staying at the old airport. That's why the old airport is still one of the biggest in the world with around 90 million passengers (before Covid).

Dubai in the United Arab Emirates is an example of how the discovery of large oil deposits in the United Arab Emirates dramatically changed this city. Because of all the oil wealth what originally was a small desert town on the coast of the Persian Gulf went from being a small insignificant desert town to being a huge city with very tall skyscrapers, including the tallest skyscraper in the world. Also many things in this city exhibit tremendous wealth.

    • ZACKSONFIRE

I've been living in Dubai for 9 years I was even born their and I just want to say that (What you see in this video is what they want you to see) the advanced buildings and how it's all amazingly created and how rich it is to live their and all that... They just show u the mask as if it's heaven their. But when u take off that mask and ask them how do the workers that constructed those buildings live in and where? Their is a place in Dubai that tourism don't see and it's slavery for the workers to how they live their but u guys won't see it.

Your information on the Makhtoum airport seems to be about the Dubai international airport, which is about the 4th largest in de world with between 90 and a 100 million passengers. Yes the Makhtoum airport is supposed to become much larger and development may have started but it's not even remotely finished and currently only serves a handful of small plains.

I remember going to Dubai back in late 1990's as the transformation began in earnest with the construction of the Burj Al Arab.........However, oil revenues will dry up as we switch away from fossil fuels, the price of everything has increased so much that only the super-rich can afford to live there/holiday there.........as global warming will get worse, the higher temperatures will make it impossible to live there for at least 6 months of the year........my prediction: the city will disappear under the shifting sand by 2035.

    There's misinformation in this video.
While Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport was indeed inaugurated in 2010, the $82 billion price tag is an estimate for its total completion that would bring its passenger capacity to 200 million a year in 2030. Right now, the airport only handles charter flights and cargo carriers.
The 90-million passenger a year tag is attributed to Dubai International Airport (not the same as DWC), located in Deira in Northern Dubai. Careful with the FAKE NEWS.

Dubai is like the "Future" if based on these record breakers.
But in terms of technology Japan is the "future"

@Lets_WrapItUp Not homes .... the thing is that Dubai doesn't feels as if it is a city , it feels more of a skyscrapers forest .

@Toxic maybe, but tbh I genuinely really like the homes in Dubai. The actual homes yk (besides the apartments) you can search them and they’re pretty nice

@Lets_WrapItUp Instead of one time visit , I think I should have mentioned visit once in a few years but I guess you get the point that it is not a good place for settling down .

Dubai is the real city of the future. Be awesome if they could get the first functioning hyperloop there as well. Everything is always proof-of-concept until Dubai makes it a reality. :b

Dubai sole reason for such development is not discovery of oil, there is some oil in Abu Dhabi but not much anywhere in uae, the reason is business (open market) tourism and Arab style marketing

The concept of Dubai development is unique and entirely different from any Arab countries.
