HELLO there and welcome back to the tyler channel revival! Today we’re making an unsavory steak dish featuring peanut butter, a T-Bone, and an angry celebrity chef. what do you guys think? would you try the ~peanut butter steak~? and yes, we know this is not how you're supposed to cook an actual steak - and yes, we know that the peanut butter jar we used is already contaminated even though we didn't spoon the stuff from the pan back in the jar! we did have to retire the jar after this video... i hope you guys enjoy this cursed culinary behavior, and we’ll catch you in the next video!
In the Nederland we have also sauce made by Peanut butter en we call it satay sauce en we usually put it on chicken. And your video was fun to watch.😊
@Caroline 😂 I paused and scrolled to the comments as soon as I saw that spoon go back into the jar!
This is meat murder for me. 😭 I don't like peanutbutter, but i love meat. So yeah u or the tiktoker ruind the meat. 🤣 Sorry but not sorry. Gordon is wright that OMG... 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
I love this. I think your streams are great but I don’t have enough time to watch them all the way through. Glad to see you guys doing fun stuff together
I think I would try to make a real peanut butter sauce and cook my steak semi-normal way with salt and pepper. I do enjoy Thai peanut dishes
The simultaneous joy of the Tyler Williams channel being back, and the absolute horror that the steak was not only edible, but vaguely acceptable, is a very interesting duality.
Tyler: horrified about scooping peanut butter that touched raw meat back into the jar
Also Tyler: Continually puts spoon that touched raw meat back into the jar
ikr! exactly what I thought
IKR! I was cringing the whole time 😭
are we back?! i think we're back!
Omg who the hell cares
Yay so glad xx
Back to the bone
Your nose has just learned to accept all the smells, even steak with bloody peanut butter
hi
I love how y’all went the extra measure to not put the excess scooped peanut butter back in the jar to prevent contaminating it, when in fact Tyler using the spoon to spread the peanut butter on raw steak and then getting more scoops out of the jar with said spoon that touched raw steak still contaminated the jar of peanut butter regardless 😂
I noticed that too lmaooo so I don't see why they make a big deal 😂😂😂
I chose to believe that they didn’t double dip
I had the same thought!
I was literally scrolling down through the comments (a month later? lol I'm late to the party) to see if anyone else noticed and commented on this. The whole time I was like man I hope they're not planning to keep using that....
OMG TYLER IS BACK ON HIS CHANNEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dude you have no idea how much we missed this 💕💕😂😂
i think in celebration of tyler’s comeback, we should call him ty-bone in honor of this video 🙇🏻♂️
okay, here on ty-bone he is
Affirmative. 🥩
I definitely feel like theoretically, using like a peanut oil could be good if you want the peanut flavor? Would probably be easier to work with too. But also you could marinate the steak with some other flavors to keep it nice and juicy and flavorful. I saw someone talking about using some sort of sweet chili jelly or something, that could create some interesting texture.
Ooooooooooo!!! Peanut oil and lime! Maybe with some garlic and ginger marinade!
@Sylvia-Rusty; Babyfae Sings yes. I like a peanut butter, Sriracha, soy sauce thing on just about anything. You can cook with it and marinate with it, but I wouldn't use solely the peanut butter
@Sylvia-Rusty; Babyfae Sings That depends on the dialect, I've only ever heard jelly meaning jam or jelly meaning jello. I had no idea jelly was also a type of sauce.
@u140550 Jelly usually means smooth sauce, not like a jam
If your talking about chili jam, then no please no.
Love the format of this video. And the content, of course. With Carly in the background it feels like the livestreams, and I like it 👍
Exactly!!
It doesn't matter if you put the cooked pb back in the jar, the jar is bad anyway unless you used a new spoon when dipping back in it that jar has meat juices all over it
@art-and-a-half of course, but I don't need to, ty responded 💜
@emily that's fair, I meant check now, sorry about that haha
@art-and-a-half it wasn't pinned I don't think, when I originally commented (or I just didn't see it)
@Tyler Williams good thing, raw meat illness sux out loud
yes, we had to retire the jar after this video... the whole cooking process was pretty upsetting. i think, though we knew logically it was already contaminated, the "putting the cooked pb back in the jar" was just a step too far emotionally. it made sense at the time lol
it’s really small thing but i’m so happy crusty’s face is still part of the intro. i think he’d be happy to know you’re including him 💛😸
I need to see saf's suggestion at the end come to fruition. I think it wouldn't be bad, fruit and beef are put together a lot!
there is a filipino dish using peanut butter and meat (and veggies), it's called kare-kare. the stew is practically peanut butter based and that's what this reminds me of
Omg i just googled it and it looks DELICIOUS !! Now i need to make that 🤤
I was gonna bring this up. Seems like they'd enjoy kare-kare now that they're not that opposed to the combination of beef and peanut butter 😂
This could maybe be acceptable if you made a peanut sauce with the peanut butter and soy sauce, maybe some garlic and green onions, and marinate it-it could be actually good lol.
I really appreciate how much of this steak was eaten because all I could think about was “wow, imagine being this cow. Like this is what you used my t-bone for?” It made me sad to think they just ruined that steak and threw it away in the OG TikTok 😢
This is my thought process anytime i see animal priducts being wasted with challenges or awful recipes etc. Like pleeease don't waste animal products it was a live animal at one point and that's how you "resoect" it ☹️
Safiya's shirt is amazing!
This was one hell of a journery. I relly appreciate just how much of the steak was eaten. It's so funny that it came out *decent*
Cant wait to see more stuff like this (But not exactly like that cause omfg once in a lifetime thing, covering a steak in peanut butter xD)
I love this! Welcome back! It's like a 2 hour livestream distilled into the 15 minutes I can actually spare to watch! Woo hoo!
That would be tasty if you added some more spices to it! I think the thing about this is that they add plain peanut butter to a t-bone with no seasoning 😂 It will never ever be good just as it is! So happy yall are back on this channel tho 😍
We have some sauce like this in my country and it's so tasty so basically just good the meat very well as you would normally do with the species and all and then make a peanut sauce and combine it together...its good with super blunt food
Thank god! I’ve just rewatched all of safiya’s and Tyler’s video’s, now I got a new one to watch and rewatch another 50 times 🥳🥳🥳
😂
“Not going back into the jar” but spread the pb on the raw steak and kept dipping it in the jar 🤣🤣🤣
"It tastes like a brussel sprout smells" very understandable description of flavor, actually ALSÇDJAOSIDGJ
Loved this series idea!! Can't wait to see the next concoction coming haha
there are so many layers to this video. there's the utter shock of the og video, the visual and worry for the steak not cooking, and the pure surprise of the fact that Tyler kept eating! I feel like maybe less peanut butter?... but can't wait to see more stuff in this series!! and anything other on this channel haha
I love Gordon Ramsey. This sounds like it's going to be a cool series!
Love the idea for this series! Can’t wait to see what else you all come up with! Welcome back! 😊💜💜
Safiya should try milchnudeln (milkpasta) if she’s into the idea of dessert pasta. You can spice it up with vanilla, nuts, honey or whatever you want
Honestly, this video inspired me. I ended up making chicken kabob with rice pilaf & chickpeas , sauteed in lemon oil ,peanut sauce , a bit of dill yogurt & hot sauce mixed in. It was A++!
That sounds delicious!
Welcome back! Done properly, it could be really good! There used to be a burger place in Burbank called Mo's that had a peanut butter and golden wild plum jam burger that was fabulous...but of course they were applied after the burger was cooked, and the burger (which was super-high quality) was seasoned with salt and pepper.
I agree … when you put it on the plate, I thought it looked like chicken fried steak!
I loved Saf’s idea of taking the “recipe” and make it good. For sure could be yummy with less peanut butter with a Thai peanut taste. I bet Tyler Can Fix It! #freeseriesidea 🤣😘
I would love to see your attempts to make this better! Sort of like how Binging With Babish will make a screen accurate version of a dish and then an “actually edible” version 🤣
Are we witnessing Safiya's accepting palate again? 😆 Great to see something on this channel again!
I am feeling really bad for that steak lol
I love how you both always try to make sense out of nonsense. True creative minds!
Oh Crusty! What an absolutely wonderful cat he was. My best friend lost her dog of 15 years, on Wednesday, the same day that another friend lost her kitty of 19 years. And remembering all three of these very special beasties makes me miss the 3 of my cats that I've lost in the last 5 years. I'm so very happy that Crusty found you two, and I'm so thankful that you made the last chapter of his life, one of never being cold and wet, or hungry, or scared, or sick. Instead you made his life one of warmth, love, yummy food, and a place where he could easily dig an indentation to poop in. Please consider adopting another older cat, as so few people want them. And older cats know that they've been rescued. Unfortunately, some POS's dump their cats when they get old(er). These are probably the same kind of people who rarely, if ever, visit their elderly relatives in care homes. I thank you from the bottom of my street cat rescuing heart! 💛 from 🇨🇦!
Omg I’m so happy you guys are utilising this channel again!! I love all your content together and sadly can’t check into the livestreams (time zones am I right? and watching VODs back just isn’t the same as when you’re there live imo) so am v happy to see even more saf & ty content!!
They stopped doing the livestreams over a month ago and don't plan to even possibly start them up again for several months so you're not missing them!
Love that Tyler is reviving his channel. A peek into Tyler's creative brain🤯 with Saf by his side is always a fun video!!!!!
This actually made me a little nauseated to see cooking. 😂 I have no idea. Also, Saf’s PB and J Wellington idea is 🔥
It made me very nauseated. Especially that original tik tok video where they put the peanut butter back in the jar.
But yeah, the PB&J wellington idea is pretty good😅
That was fun to watch! Glad to see something new on the channel. Looking forward to seeing more fun DIY stuff. By the way, you guys did a much better job!
In college, I lived close to a place that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives that made a burger with peanut butter. I've had it before and it was pretty legit. Growing up, my high school also served peanut butter sandwiches with chili mac and all of us used to dunk that peanut butter sandwich into the chili mac and that was good too.
If they had made a peanut butter sauce and dripped it on top of a cooked steak, it could have been better. Steak and peanut butter is not too strange of a combination but the way they cooked it was strange and deserved every word grodon ramsay said.
Welcome back, and this was both grotesque and fascinating. Looking forward to the next one.
Since peanut butter on burgers is a thing... I think maybe (as someone who doesn't cook steak lol) if you cook a seasoned steak normally until it's close to done and add a little peanut butter at the end it would improve the texture and taste
Maybe it's supposed to be like the steak version of peanut chicken or chicken satay.
You know in Indonesia & Malaysia, sate/satay is a meat that grilled & layered with peanut sauce. it tastes amazing!!
Heck yeah new content from Tyler! So glad I had notifications on for this channel ;)
Thoughts on the recipe: the putting it back in the jar makes me think it's a definite troll. Peanut butter as a marinade makes a lot of sense, the sugars (when mixed with acidic things like soy sauce, Worcester sauce, wine, vinegar, etc) should caramelize the meat pretty nicely and give a really great flavor. I could even see less peanut butter being used as the primary oil a la a Grilled Charlie (from Always Sunny), but the recipe a it was shown has just way too much peanut butter. There are some great peanut butter marinades worth checking out online, but Gordon makes his money off of betting over-the-top, so it makes sense he would overreact to something that has a culinary basis but seems "weird."
Glad y'all are back 😊
Finally a new video on this channel, so happy for you guys 💕
Always coming up with nice and creative ideas maybe not a yummy recipe 😜 but still interesting to watch.
Hell’s Kitchen is my guilty pleasure. Has been for over a decade now. I just love seeing arrogant people get screamed at 😂😂 just came from re-bingeing the entire season. I’m so ready for this to become a series! Glad to see a return to the channel 😁
Worth the wait! 😄 Also, I'd definitely try a bite of that steak 👀
I love these two! So happy to see them again! The only thing that would make me happier is if I could teach them how to cook 😂💕
Safiya: Thai-inspired
Me: "Ty"-inspired 😂
Also, welcome back Tyler! I've missed your vids! Love watching you and Saf's vids! 💜☺
Welcome back Tyler! I've been looking forward to these ☺️
I loved this video! I definetly want to see more videos trying these kind of recipes.
Holy shit this channel posted something? Omg I missed Tyles food videos so much. I still rewatch the old ones. 100% watching this while eatting my very adult lunch of a lunchable
Great, had me dying at "Nut steak" 😂😂
I once had I burger that was surprisingly delicious, which had big dollops of peanut butter and jam on the patty. They were, however, 100% added after the cooking lol.
I rewatched some of the videos on this channel last weekend, so the choice to go with food-related videos is really on brand :D
Took a double take and see if this was real! I just started to rewatch Tyler's videos and was suprised this popped up! Welcome back!
OMG!!!! I'm so excited to see you back on your channel with Saf, Tyler!!! I love Saf's channel but this channel just hits different (in a good way!) Its more chill! So happy to have you and Saf back here!
Love both of you two! My husband and I look forward to watching every video! Can’t wait for the next livestream! I watch them while getting ready every morning. I hope you all enjoy your break (even though you’re still working) and filming trips!
Excited to see that this channel is up and running again
That was fun, and didn't actually look too bad! I'd love to see more vids like this!
What a fun video and love the concept! I'm glad you're reviving this channel! Looking forward that what you come up with next 😁
PLEASE MAKE THIS INTO AN ENTIRE SERIES
This is so exciting to see this channel back! I have been rewatching the Capsule Hotel and friends many times, so it’s so fun to see y’all use this channel again. Welcome back!
I literally squealed like a teenage girl (and I NEVER do that) when I saw this video!!!! This is so exciting!!!!🥳🥰👏❤️🎉
Great to have you guys back on Ty’s channel, looking forward to seeing more!
So happy to see you back Tyler! Hope you and Safiya are doing well!
I am loving this. I would legit watch a cooking show with you two (three ). Y’all are friggin hilarious
I love this format so much, it’s very refreshing! Welcome back ❤️
So happy the Tyler channel is back with bang!! Loved this video guys🖤💜
Keep them coming ✨🖤i love saf and tyler just casually eating the peanut butter steak lol it looked sickening not in a good way sorry not your fault 😂
Edit:please don’t change the intro💜
I think there's definitely a way to salvage this recipe with some added seasoning and using wayyyy less peanut butter. I'd season the steak well first, get a pan properly hot and get a really good sear on the steak on both sides, turn the heat down a little, sprinkle on some spices, spread like a tablespoon of the peanut butter on top, flip it and do the same thing on the other side... and then just finish cooking to the desired temperature flipping occasionally. I can imagine the peanut butter almost having a similar effect to butter basting then.
It probably needed a bit of salt to give it a fighting chance against the initial tastelessness. But yay the Tyler channel is back! Ready for more food content lol
Yeahh i would love to see gordon make this somehow. Like a steak pad thai with peanut sauce or something. Sounds really good! 😋
Loved this! Can’t wait for more!
I'm both horrified and intrigued that this turned out edible. Kudos 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love your video. It’s full of energy and fun. Pls post for more like this. Thank you for making an effort
I loved this video! Make this a series!
Nice concept for a series Glad to see you guys back
Welcome back Tyler!!! I’m excited to see more of this series and more videos in the future :)))
Safiya’s just learned to accept all smells at this point lol
I haven't seen the video yet but the amount of joy it brings me already is massive! ❤️
I finally get to watch something new after rewatching all the classics over and over XD
“It delivers a solid steak product” 🤣🤣 I love this as a description to a steak recipe haha
So happy Tyler did another vid on his channel and I watched the whole thing...despite it being disgusting 🤣
These videos are so fun to watch! Missed it 🙌🏽
I love the concept of this video but I was SO nauseous watching this. So I smashed that like button while debating the liking-ness I had for this video! 😂 Anywhosit - welcome back Tyler!!
This made my day. I love content from both of you!!!
Love this, cant wait for the next recipe
Love this! Can’t wait for more of these videos!
This was so enjoyable I can’t even stand it! I can’t wait for more of these!
Loving this series!
To me a good version of this would be using my fav fast food from the Netherlands, which is fries with peanut sauce and just a steak cooked well and separately.
I love that Tyler has difficulty saying “charcuterie” but can say “apoplectic.”
coochie-yay
YAY so happy Tyler’s channel is back!!!
This reminds me of the disgusting Buffalo Pizza I had when I visited my cousins which
had a nauseating "Sweet Sauce" all over it. It made the pizza soggy and tasted kind of like sweet and sour sauce but clear.
The amount of times Tyler re-dipped the spoon in the jar of peanut butter... I really hope they don't plan on using that peanut butter in the future lol
Saf! I totally appreciated your ‘Thai-bone steak’ joke! I feel like we needed to address that! 😂
i love this concept, and i like that u guys are open minded and honest about trying these haha
so in my culture there is a breaded steak dish! so when saf mentioned it i was like "oh, yeah, absolutely"
