That’s just a load of rubbish though, go and compare them English teams of the past 20 years to teams like Brazil Italy Spain France etc, that’s the reason why England haven’t won anything because the other teams have been a lot better, it’s not rocket science, people just love to remember things differently
@SteP96 England's 2002, 2006, and 2022 teams were all crazy good in terms of the players they had, not the best in the competition, but still very talented.

@SteP96 The best team doesn't always necessarily win the competition, usually, it's between the top 5 teams, and England would likely have fallen into that category in the years mentioned, giving them a valid chance. Besides, those were just the world cups mentioned, there's also the Euros.

So, what I got from that was France were much the better team, had tons of chances due to non-existent marking, but England won 4-0.

first half, they looked like they would be cream crackered, weak, sloppy defending, then in the second half they got lucky, plus the Frenchies were also crap at defending, and then after the second goal we got a lot more confident. We should be a lot more aggressive and confident from the start, not wait n see, let them come on to us - we were lucky that the French were poor finishers.
