That's a unit in training. Great to see the work Joyce puts in. Hence the power!

I think alot of people need to understand he was robbed of a golf medal 🥇, and also gave a very good account against usk over just 5 rounds and even rocked him in that fight , you don't to where he is by luck go back and watch those two fights and you will see he,s alot better than most people think .

People say he would get out skilled of fury and Usk but who else is better than him in the heavy weights at the moment. He definitely deserves a shot

Fury and Usyk are both a million times better than he'll ever be. I'd say he's 3rd best in tbe division though, definitely beats AJ with ease. Not sure why you mentioned Ruiz, he's an absolute nobody

WSB is different. The gloves are different. Its heavier to the front, the pro fight gloves are different in weight distribution and its more shifted to the wrist. Imagine joyce asking for horse hair gloves to fight usyk, he would break eye socket even earlier than he did Dubois. i competed before so i know my shit, joyce would beat usyk in the late rounds. He is relentless and his jab is perfect disruption not to mention his jab is heavy like klitschko. His chin? Dubois threw a freaking overhand with his left leg lunge forward for maximum impact, what happened? Nothing. So usyk going to outbox? Yes. But outbox for how long? Joyce would eat that pitty patty combinations and bulldoze through.

He got beaten by Usyk in the amateurs however it was a 5 rounder, Joyce shows his best in the later rounds but also Usyk is a master of 12 rounds fights.
It's definitely a fight I'd love to watch.
Usyk is very skillful and can outbox Joyce again but Joyce will keep coming forward and if he hurts Usyk he won't let him off the hook.
I really hope we get to see that fight soon now that they're still in their prime.

@Andrew Tolmie it was early in joyce career . Usyk started boxing since a teen or kid . Yes he gotnoutboxed but not really outpaced

People say he's slow but he can do all them flips can't he, even his slow movement is an illusion.

@myAutoGen yes he used to be a track and field athlete, he's acrobatic so he's not really a stiff boxer it's just he doesn't need to do all the fancy footwork he just needs to cut off his opponent and apply pressure, he has good punch variety aswell, I think people are sleeping on him but his time has come to show the world what he's really about.

    • myAutoGen
      myAutoGen Hace 5 meses

He can move fast. It seems like he often punches slow to save energy by letting his bodyweight generate the power

Jumping with heavy waights is of no benifit at all this will only damage your hips, Knees, back, shoulders Absolute stupid idia whoever told him to do that need to talk to someone who is aware of how joints work being subjected to heavy impact. They break down.

its nice to lift a few weights but it has no benefit for boxing as a boxer i would never lift weights on purpose as i likeed my super fast punching power i could hit joyce ten times before he blinked i would hurt him bad but he wouldnt go down lol .

    • Steady Gainz
Steady Gainz Hace 2 meses +1

Lol. Lifting too many weights takes away all your power. Look at what happened to Deontay Wilder in the Trilogy. He quit lifting weights and he got a KO in the first round against Helenius.
Also Haney is notorious for lifting weights which is why he has zero power.

Joe Joyce is a good boxer and a nice easy spoken guy. But I think parker wins this one 💪

@BIIIIIGMAN yea I was a bit surprised I suppose I always saw Joyce was very slow with a poor defensive but ha ING said that Parker didn't look great very poor foot work made no effort to duck or slip so got that one wrong

Not a fan of weightlifting for boxers.

    • Coach Cam
Coach Cam  Hace 4 meses +1

@donald barker what makes you think the “weight” effects the fluidity?
Yes, they are some great exercises. But just because a specific exercises mimics sporting action doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a good thing.
Here we have several clips from different training blocks. Targeting different qualities.

    • donald barker
      donald barker Hace 4 meses

@Coach Cam the weight effect the fluidity of movement, balance, snap of punch. A much better option is hitting a tire with a sledgehammer and hitting a stack of tires with a baseball bat, and pushing/pulling a sled.
