I agree. I subscribe to a guy who lives with his family about 20 minutes north of me . He does everything by hand. “ My Self Reliance “ my dad had me on his shoulders always building with nails in his teeth. He’s incredible to,and what he thinks of is genius. I think it’s important to share who you watch doing these things regardless of where we’re living. I’m in Muskoka North of Toronto,it’s incredibly beautiful,so many lakes, forests . Love this Family here. Beautiful teamwork.

@Pwny Boy no. You don’t. Many governments offer incentives for you to buy land and cultivate it due to very low birth rates and excessively low populations. Now after the very bad fires, they increased the funds at least in Portugal. Not sure if still in Spain. But, Italy, Greece and even New Zealand offers incentives for folks to move there. Needless to say, no one should live totally alone in such remote areas where the nearest hospitals or emergency services may be quite far. I do know two elderly women who do live alone on their land one in Spain and another in Portugal, where the population is quite low and they feel perfectly safe. As long as they have a satellite phone, and running water. Lol! I’ve been dreaming this life for quite some time. One of my colleagues made it happen too. He’s male though. And he’s a native from Spain.

man that's how you live, I am so annoyed at myself for not doing something similar when I was younger and had a lot more energy. there is something so very human about pottering around your own place fixing things and gardening. Days feel meaningful and your mind feels like it is getting the proper exercise. If I could have my life over I would do something similar without a single second of hesitation.

Container gardens are a great start. Herb gardens in little pots. It's never too late to start something. Just start small and you may find (you're) more capable of managing. Motivation grows energy too.

The purpose is Jesus! He died for your sins and the sins of mankind, Adam and Eve sinned against God in the garden of Eden and brought sin to the world because of this we are doomed to hell because is our fallen nature, but the good news is that Jesus Christ Gods one and only son died for us on the cross and is you confess if your mouth that Jesus is Lord he will blot out your sin sins such as blasphemy, sexual sin, covetousness(envy) etc… Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
These sins are unhelpful to our souls accept Jesus and confess him as Lord for your soul for all eternity

This may sound somewhat strange, but watching this video gave me such intense homesickness. I've never lived in the country or on a farm, all my life I've been in cities across the US. Somehow this video feels like watching someone move into my childhood home, sad because you're no longer living there but happy for the new life it'll have. I'm not sure where these feelings came from but I thought I'd share, and wish you well. This place looks incredible and I hope to do the same in the future.
    Wishing you all the best,

Hi, it is possibly an innate feeling in each of us. Which has been lost owing to excessive industrialisation. We've lost how to work with the natural world. To many people the natural world has become the enemy of so called progress. Yet we must not fall into the trap of romanticising it. UK 🕊️

ESclips kept recommending this so I watched it today. This is similar a bit to my journey. I bought a farm in Lithuania (I'm from Lithuania) and has been working on it on and off on my own. My husband should joing me this year hopefully. Of course, this lifestyle is challening, but being in nature, drinking fresh water, growing your own organic veggies, and having total peace is definitely worth it.

What am amazing place! It's really impressive - all the skills that you've learned and all that you've accomplished! I'm in a similar situation - living in an old farmhouse that we've fixed up. We've worked on the land; adding many garden beds, fruit trees, a big flock of chickens, gray water system, greenhouse, etc.. Our house had power and running water from the start, so we didn't face many of the challenges that you faced. You should be proud of your hard work! I'm jealous of your water system. That is so cool!

My first visit and have to say, you have done an amazing job, and it is beautiful that you have taken the option to know your land and all it provides for you. Don't be surprised if nature reaches out to you. It does communicate, answers prayers for rain. Protects your land and critters if harmful weather is coming.
Don't think of prayers as religious. Talk to nature as a friend when asking it to protect...and provide. I suspect it has grown attached as it knows what you have accomplished.
Spread your arms in love. It will in turn fill you with love.
    Can't beat it.

I make up for it in other ways...conscientious menu planning to make the best of every nickel I spend and making it stretch until it almost breaks.
We can all do better in terms of not being wasteful. Is it "living the dream"? Not so much. But survival has many levels. And simply not being wasteful goes a long ways. =)

Harriet, brutal....

Good on you. I wish I could start my life over. I’m too old to do it now. Watching you was bitter sweet. It’s sad that it’s in me mentally but not physically. Keep going as long as you can. I commend you. Great effort. You should be proud 💗

Such a rewarding experience and feeling to make your living space your own creation. The way you like it. I absolutely love my home. Especially the yard. Having the imagination to think about what you want and then creating it successfully is by far one of the best feelings ever. Beautifully done by the way. Keep us updated. Aloha!🙏🏼🤙🏼✊🏼👍🏼

Awesome video!! I'm on a similar path. I bought a few acres, that came with tons and tons of trash literally and tons of abandoned vehicles that had been stripped out. I bought the land at the end of December 2021 and I really hit it hard in April. I still don't have a place to live on the property, but thats my next step. I spent all summer cleaning up trash and planting trees. I've planted maybe over 40 fruit trees now. Literally almost every single fruit that i could find. I still don't have power, or actual water. I bought a 5,000gallon water tank that i placed at the highest part of property, and i have timers that water large parts of property. I only have gravity pressure which isn't a lot, but just enough. I'm just finishing up my outdoor shower. And I've planted guava trees along a pipe where the used shower water will go. I haven't actually taken a shower yet. Haha. And yes it was unbelievable hot this summer! I arrived at the property around 6pm and worked till maybe midnight. I have a pretty powerful headlamp. lots of light and rechargeable batteries. So my next little project is to start a small "house/ shed" for me to live in for the coming winter, and to add a few solar panels. I'm located in southern california, Perris CA. I only wish i had recorded what I was doing. It didn't cross my mind with literally everything that I've had to do. Sometime next year I'll try and get a water well made. Right now i'm paying someone to deliver water. But thats another huge project.

Hi, what a wonderful sounding project! It sounds like you have done so much!! It's not too late to start recording, I barely recorded anything from the first 6 months, maybe a little tour of what you've done so far would work? I'd certainly love to see that! 💚

I just stumbled across your channel and I am so happy I did! This is beyond impressive what you have done and accomplished. Leaving all the comforts and convinces of home and putting a foot into the ground of your new farmstead is incredibly praiseworthy! We moved recently from Arizona USA to Ireland I miss having my Italian garden. Hopefully, we will purchase a house, then I can till the earth getting my garden growing again, in the meantime, I have bell peppers growing on my tiny windowsill in our tiny apartment. I am going to further watch your videos and see how you get on :) Best of luck!

Great inspirational video! You have found happiness through living and stimulating the life which most of us have abounded or never experienced. I have glimpses in my mind of calm content appreciation… when I’m at my allotment or doing some yoga. However this set up is very unique and you’re rewarded for you’re hard work. Nature does indeed love you.
I wish you all the best and hope you can influence more people with ‘seeds’ for thought with great content! (Sorry for the pun I just had too :) )
