A quality match up to 2nd set, where a single break point decided a winner. Then, run out of gas in Dominic.
Dominic's lowered level was obvious to Rafa, but with due respect, he took a cautious approach to secure the 3rd set - his winning formula. Never underestimates his rival. Unbelievable!

Very much expected victory for Rafael Nadal. Everything else would have been a huge surprise, Nadal was the better player in all the statistics figures except in serve aces (where Nadal does 3 serv aces and Thiem 7) in everything else Nadal was clearly the better player. Thiem tried and stood up well in the first two sets and challenged Nadal very well from the baseline, but as so many times before we have seen when Nadal plays tennis (especially clay court tennis in Paris) Nadal grinds down his opponents with his aura his deadly consistency level (he never goes down in his level never) and to resist and be at the same crazy high level as Nadal on clay in Paris in 5 sets is the hardest and most disclosure challenge that exists in sports and not just in tennis.
I mean It's no coincidence that Nadal has won 93 matches in French Open and only lost 2 it speaks it’s clear language about how terrible, monstrous hard it is to defeat this clay court terminator in Paris. And should you defeat Nadal in Paris for over 5 sets then it takes an heavy powerful two- handed backhand (ala Söderling) or solid, flatt and deadly consistent two-handed backhand (ala Djokovic) and it is also no coincidence whatsoever that these two gentlemens are the only ones in 93 tennis matches that made this huge monstrous achievement and defeated Nadal in Paris. For honestly anyone with an one-handed backhand will never defeat Nadal in French Open. All respect to Thiem's one-handed backhand and he has defeated Nadal 4 times on clay with that one-handed backhand (in three sets matches) but defeating Nadal on clay in three sets matches and doing it in 5 sets matches are two huge big differences.
Thiem's one-handed backhand can withstand three sets of matches against Nadal on clay, but in five sets of matches on clay against Nadal, it is not strong, flatt and solid enough unfortunately. Anyway, big congratulations to Nadal's 12th and much-anticipated French Open title and to his 18th grandslam title in his career and definitely not his last either. Let’s face it people Nadal's biggest opponent in Paris is no player (except Djokovic sometimes, but he's not good enough against other players in Paris) but his own health and only that can stop Nadal from surpassing Federer’s 20 grandslam titles and nothing else.
And last but definitely not least here is an reaction, and analyse video about this French Open final 2019 that I have made. Watch it and enjoy my dear tennis friends all over the world peace😎

His way to the quarters Was nothing compared to way thiem had to take. I think nadal even had a grand slam at which He did not had to play against a top 20 Player to get into the final.
And this year i think thiem Was equal to him...but guess what... the desicive Detail that He won the final was just the fact that thiem was too tired to be able to play better tennis in the 3. and 4. set.

Well done for the organisers. They put Federer Nadal semifinal first deliberately cause they knew weather conditions wont allow Djokovic Thiem to finish their match at friday..It was of course attack on Djokovic who knew for these small dirty games. And this arent first time.
Looser of this dirty games against Djokovic is Thiem too. If I was a player I would say. Either we are olaying at the same time as Roger and Nadal or the final is on monday. End of story.
You can make 1000 obstacles to Djokovic like you alreasy did 100 times in his career but he will still end up first.

Djokovic too. Novak and Roger are the only players to lose to Nadal 6 times each at Roland Garros. Novak I know has a win over Nadal, but that was in Rafa's worst year in 2015. He was losing to everybody.

Absolute joke how this tournament is ran, you have Thiem finishing a five set match the day before, whilst Nadal had twice as much time to rest to prepare, it is severely unfair, there should be equal opportunity for both players to rest and prepare for such an occasion, this may have been much much closer if Thiem had an extra day, shame on Roland Garros, get a god damn roof to prevent rain breaks, instead of costing players like Thiem a fair chance at claiming his first grand slam title.

bla, bla, Bla... You all keep harping on about Thiem being tired and lucky Rafa, let’s remember Rafa’s five + hour epic semi final against Verdasco at the 2009 Australian open then the day after winning another five setter against Roger for the title

Tell federer and djocovic to pay the money of the roof to make it an indoor tourment but you know what clay is for nadal indoor or outdoor and if you do not believe ask the ATP to make wtf in London with clay court indoor and you will see the result, clay for real men only and not for cows or women

Thiem played Rafa's game. Had to take the ball much earlier on some occasions.
