British Husband Explains to American Wife | American vs English Football Chants **REACTION**

- After the amazing response we got from the first reaction video we did of "funny English football chants" we thought we would come back with another similar one, but something tells me this one is gonna be even more fun then the first one.
On another note: for those wondering where the next episode of the inbetweeners is, we actually uploaded it but for some reason it's blocked for viewers in the UK. I suggest if you have VPN switching it on and trying to watch the episode like that would be your best bet. Thank guys!
the fact he started singing along PROVES all British people are hardwired to sing and chant like that 🤣🤣🤣
Apart from me, I not see point of football though
Image they'd went all 1970's/80's..😆😆😆..ps America it's called football because they use their feet 😐
*all drunk british people :D
Correct
@Mordu83😂😂😂😂😂👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
That "fight and win" bloke would get a "sit down, you twat' in England from his own teams fans.
@Free Mizzy 9 years left you have now idea get too bed you child
@Dinooo64 YT as I was reading the comments I was thinking the same thing 😂
@Free Mizzy 9 years left the irony in your comment 🙄
@Isus what man City fans
As an African the Adebayor chant always results in me laughing my ass off for a good 5 minutes!! 🤣🤣💀💀💀
@M A its not that deep mate, its just picking at the culture in a fun way and we welcome it back
You know what? I'd get a job in Africa washing elephants, but I would charge £50 per elephant because I don't want to die
@Chris baxter say "please"
@tomonetruth yea I got that - but you tell me how they’re racist in your own words
@Chris baxter they're on the screen in the video above
I haven't felt more relief than when the British chants started
@unknown then how u talking?
@D4rkwashere Real🗿
You got a time stamp?
@unknown cap
@EkremSlayer me no hablo england 😐
I took a Canadian cousin to West ham Vs Liverpool a few years back,he was blown away and still talks about it to this day. In the car on the way back from the match he admitted that he always thought we were quaint😂😂😂 right up until that day, stating that from his perspective the difference being that Americans were too uptight and that we were relaxed and comfortable with who we are.I have heard some real great chants over the years and an absolute beauty at a boxing match once,We British are the undoubted masters of the art,the kiddy family one being one of my favourites.
It’s a copy of Vindaloo not three lions
English fans are quite tame compared to the rest of europe
I’ve had a West Ham season ticket since the new stadium but my dad took me to a few Upton Park games and the only time the atmosphere has been as loud as it was there was Sevilla 2-0
@Sophia Bassett as a kidderminster harriers fan i actually think its hilarious too. that was our stadium on the video :D
@Larry Buchannan You need to watch Americans on youtube. Overly loud and emphasis on every other word. They don't appreciate they don't need to shout.
“That’s very racist”
**wheezes with laughter**
😂
@Owen Colbon 4% South Koreans eat dog meat. 3% of Swiss. Should sing it more maybe they’d stop 😂
@LFC Fan u a scouser fan and don't know park Ji Sung? And yeah maybe not racist but Jisung didn't like that chant at all.
@LFC Fan he was south Korean fun fact
Each year in China there’s a 10 day festival where they eat dog... not racist just fact. Not sure if that player was Chinese but there’s other Asian countries that do the same.
using the american flag as a fart catcher...makes you proud to be british
Lmfao, I spat my tea out
@Homie The English do like the Americans. We also like making fun of our mates. Farting into the national flag of a foreign people is one of the highest compliments an Englishman can make and should be taken as a gesture of respect.
@Homie who said we dont like America
@William Jordan I guess that makes sense
@Homie They used to be the big dog. They don't like us being the big dog.
The "Harry Potter is coming for you" one I think the fans are suggesting that Jonjo Shelvey (stretching on the sideline) has a certain resemblance to Voldemort. 😆
@corrodedmonkee Awful 🤣
@KMC 19XX But how does he smell?
@carl ossus other fans also sung this to him when he was at Newcastle. Happened in Newcastle 2-2 City and Liverpool 2-0 Newcastle to name 2 occasions I’ve seen it happen
What so he don't have a nose
@Damien brown especially after our buyout by the Saudis, all I’m gonna say is Howay the lads
The difference between your reactions when some of the british chants come up is just great. Him laughing his arse off and she looking horrified XD
In the UK we are tribal, for 90 minutes we hate the other team, we can be brutal. But understand that’s for the game only and don’t get too offended. The tribalism is what it’s all about.
Also UK, you have Millwall and ultras.
@The Ruined Drone 90+ Minutes then?
@Thomas Lamb the abuse getting shouted down the road for hours after the game ends and the police breaking up fights till all the fans have gone home shows it is not 90 minutes of hate. For some it's a lifetimes passion.
The American wife doing the whole "at least we are positive" thing is nearly as cringey as the yank chants. 🤣🤣
Biggest difference I've noticed is Americans take words far too seriously and ignore action, whereas words don't really mean too much here, cause the way we talk n banter, but your actions are far more important
@DahJee KwengLee Just like the Rome, it's bloody miracle how its still functioning.
@James Quinn America is like the rome of the modern day era, sure its a superficial costume of a nationality but over hundreds of years and still more to come - it has and will become a distinct culture of its own right. American symbolism and colour is more recognisable than most around the world, and apart from similarities to its british roots, its entirely its own. The bioshock infinity game presents this very well. I dont like it but i cant deny that it is uniquely its own thing in history.
@Max Davis Europe and Britain have been trying to tell every for 100 years, America is a superficial costume of a nationality.
@Larry Buchannan ironically the stereotypes of the countries are reversed.
the adebayor one where she says 'its so racist!' followed just by a long wheeze of laughter
makes me proud to be british
@craigtunnicliffe yeah he was
Was Adebayor not on the stretcher at the time
@GorillaApple im literally english... and i often go to games...
"At least it's positive! At least we're not calling people ugly" - Yeah, that's the problem.
Awesome reaction!
@Runaway WTF. Here in Sweden everybody laugh about something like that 😂😂
@Emil Johansson January 2020, Rockets played against the Pelicans, a fan shouted at Westbrook that he is ugly, inefficient, and a joke. Westbrook told security to throw him out and they did.
@Runaway wait for real was a fan throw out 😂😂
@maarten vlutters I was shocked to hear that a fan was thrown out of an NBA game for insulting a player. Look at european basketball games (especially southern europe) and you will hear 15000 people chanting organized insults at the other team, all for the goal of getting in their heads, pissing them off, throw them off their game, and helping own team win.
@maarten vlutters exactly 💯
British chants will always be top tier, especially compared to whatever those American ones were 😂
@Not wanted lol I'm alright for selling my kidneys to afford an ambulance pal
@binarymale him Arrowhead Stadium- home of the Kansas City Chiefs. Loudest outdoor stadium in the world. Guinness world record holders.
Allen Field house- home of the Kansas Jayhawks basketball team. Loudest indoor arena in the world. Guinness world record holders.
The middle of the country (and Seattle) have crazy passionate fan bases.
@Cj Boyer definitely not the loudest.
@Connor Young yip like your nations health care pure comedy
@Jamie Griffiths as an English person myself... Yeah that's our special talent, 😂
America has turned freedom of speech into freedom to not be offended 😂
Right
I'm not a fan of football (rugby union is my game) but I have a cousin from Illinois, they came here to Scotland and asked to see as much of Scotland as possibe. I took them to Loch Lomond, Loch Ness, Skye, Ben Nevis etc. We were in the house I said 'wanna see football?' and they become enthusiastic. Out of the blue they said 'this is soccerrrrrr not football'. I pissed myself laughing. Great reaction
@Kevin Przy that's what he said. 🤨
@JD-OG their oval best way to describe is a skinnier longer rugby ball. And the Football comes from it being a version of Football, Rugby Football if you want to be exact.
@Kevin Przy no its because american football just as rugby football and association football all originated and evolved from the same point and we later shortened the names to just using Rugby or Football part, or 'soccer' from 'association' in some places.
@Kevin Przy used to in 17th century
@Robert Gibbs it comes from an old word called cricc meaning shepherds staff.... yet a cricket bat looks nothing like a shepherds staff.
not only is there no melody to them singing "the referee's a wanker" there is also no referee. They are outside the stadium 🤣🤣
He wears a wankers hat
@TheDaxter11 the players in the MLS aren't even that well known, no way a referee was well known! 😉 🤣
It's post game
To be fair in regards to that, there's no context. Could be a well known and not much liked ref, or a game could have just ended and the ref did something no one liked during the game.
Ji Sung Park a South Korea footballer who was playing for Manchester United at the time was quoted in saying, ‘I like my chant’.
@Remittance Man I think at first he didn't want to create any problems by saying it was offensive, I remember back then it was 'not done' or just not considered normal to call out Europeans/white people about racism in football. He knew the chant was about a racist stereotype about Asians eating dogs, which isn't accurate anymore in this day and age and which a lot of Asians are still receiving comments about, sometimes meant as a bad joke and sometimes meant as hard racism. I think he understood the chant can still have a negative influence on Asian people and I think he did the right thing by saying they shouldn't be singing it anymore. I honestly don't think Manchester United wouldn't allow their own supporters to sing it anymore anyway, because a lot of English clubs are trying to do anything necessary to prevent racism.
@JL 10 I wonder if he was really offended or was told to be 😱offended😱 because English people at the BBC were uncomfortable about the chant.
@twaito o 😂😂😂😂
I remember a joke i heard on mock the week. Sure the segment was things you wouldn't want to hear in a restaurant and went "these korean meatballs really are the dogs bollocks" 😄 dogs bollox being slang for really good..some times shortened to "the dogs".
@JL 10 sure, but at the same time we are equally insulting the English...
Well...
Scousers....
I think the main difference is British and European team rivalries go back decades through generations whereas in America it’s more of a fun casual thing
In England they go back centuries
If you haven't watched Four Lions with her yet, I think you should. The way you were talking about American's getting offended easily... would be interesting to see her thoughts on it
@smokey what?
@James Quinn 🤦♂️🤡
@industrial society and its consequences have been In what community? It's a film about terrorists?
What I loved about 4 lions was that there was enough community in-jokes that it's clear chris morris was consulting extensively with and taking seriously people in the community. It wasn't just carelessly disrespectful
The “10 men went to bed, went to bed with Ashley” chant was in reference to rumours involving him and a couple of teammates getting some extra “training” in together 😂😂
As a Brit, I suddenly feel proud of our football chants for unknown reasons
This is undoubtedly the best reaction to English chants, simply because there is a local who can provide context about what is happening. Great video. We've to teach those gringos the true football CULTure. Cheers from South America. 🍻
I hereby confirm all explanations given with a few extras - 'We lose every week' is chanted by West Ham fans when their team was 5-0 down / Van Persie and Kevin Nolan explanations were spot on / Adebayor chant was sung by Arsenal fans in an Arsenal-Tottenham game after Adebayor transfered to the latter / John Terry chant refers to Terry missing the final and deciding penalty in the 2008 Champions League final against Man Utd / 'Park' chant is sung by Man Utd fans referring the Ji Sung Park, a Man Utd player from South Korea, who supposedly would be better off eating dogs back home instead of being a Liverpool fan (the scouse and rats and all) / Next 3 chants are indeed targeting Andy Carroll for his long pony tail / Gerrard chant refers to Steve G slipping in the worse possible time in the title decider game for the whole season vs Chelsea, where Demba Ba played at the time / Diego Costa is simply ugly AF / 'Fuck off Chealsea' chant explanation is spot on / 'The city is your's' chant is a direct mockery from Man Utd fans to Man City fans for their obvious lack of fans / 'Eyes are offside' mocks Mesut Ozil, an Arsenal player, for the fact that his eyes are really far apart / Suarez chant explanation was spot on / 'Racist center half' explanation was spot on, sung by Man Utd fans in a Man Utd-Chelsea derby / Harry Potter chant is sung by West Ham fans to ridicule Jonjo Shelvey, a Liverpool player at the time, for being so ugly he looked like Voldemort / Incest chant is a West Brom Albion staple / '10 men' chant refers to Ashley Cole, Chelsea player at the time, having his wife cheat on him and go public about it.
The funniest thing about the park one eating dogs is that it's his own fans singing it. 😂
I think as a British man myself, and having chanted at least 7 of these at Burnley fans (I’m from Blackburn), American chants honestly make me really sad. They really think their sports are better the poor souls 😢
The Park chant isn't racist, just facts made into a banter. Korean's raised and ate dogs the same way we do with chickens. Saying people in his home country eats dogs was just factual, but since then they've changed the law and no longer eat dogs.
@Ben Thomas So calling the French "frogs" is racist? Or Germans "krauts" (it means cabbages).
BTW when England play Germany, the English fans like to sing "Ten German Bombers", a silly song about German aeroplanes being shot down by Spitfires. The Germans respond by singing "Die Engelandlied" sometimes known as "Wir fahren gegen Engeland", an actual march of the wartime (Nazi) Luftwaffe and before that the Imperial German Navy. As far as I am aware, the English don't get upset. Probably because they know how to take a joke.
@IDCGaming Because your average British will apologise and say slavery was bad because you live with Africans and your Average Arab would buy African slaves if it was still legal, hell some still do in Libya.
@IDCGaming And the African people themselves.
Ved
I thought as a Newcastle fan you might’ve realised the Harry Potter chant was directed as Jonjo Shelvey😂
He knew, but conveniently forgot…
I was just thinking the same thing. 🤣🤣
Could you imagine the reaction to that "we're gonna stomp you out" chant at Millwall or Leeds? 😂😂😂
just had a scene through football factory pop into mind
I could imagine their counter chant going like: What is Atlanta? Don’t give a f***ing s*** Is that Atlanta? That stupid drumming git?
Love your channel and love what you guys do! As a englishman brought up in Switzerland with a german dad I love seing people come across different cultures.
Another part of this I think is the structure and leagues and geography. The US MLS is all franchised right? They are the top teams and they will stay there and they will make a massive catch-zone for fans.
Whilst permanent moves are rare, there is a potential for teams to rise or fall in fortunes in European football, it's really local and it impacts a city or towns development. If you are local to the area, the closest big club is a major influence.
@Ian Livsey they are just replying to the difference between European club level teams and the US MLS teams which corolates to fans behaviour towards football.
Eh?
Your partner knows to hate Mike Ashley 😂😂😂 legendary
It's funny seeing how shocked Americans are with our football chants 😂😂😂 I didn't understand the Ashley one tho, first time I've heard that one
@Shaun Robinson ah cheers lmao
He allegedly shoved a mobile phone up his backside while he played for Chelsea, I believe arsenal fans started the song/rumours
Always a pleasure watching you guys!
Anymore Inbetweeners reactions on the way??
@hobbitassassin1 I’m thinking peep show after this though, what do you think?
@Culture Clash Reactions all good mate! Gotta shout out for more idiot abroad reactions too 👍 hopefully it won't be the same story with that too 🤞
@Culture Clash Reactions do you think your wife might like (peep show)?
@Culture Clash Reactions yes, there’s another Chanel that reacted to season 2 episode 1 and it was also removed, maybe just do the second episode if it’s too much hassle, we’ve all seen it anyway lol
Hi mate! we did actually post the first episode of season 2 yesterday. For some reason the ESclips copy right police have been extra harsh this week. Tried chopping and changing it as much as I could to get around the copy right claims but didn't have any success. The episode is actually up on our channel already but is blocked in the UK. The only way to see it would be if you have VPN on your device. Sorry again, and thanks for tuning in.
It is a lot more personal in the UK generally and we take well known songs and adapt them
Americans chants are enthusiastic, British chants are casual psychological warfare set to a number of classic tunes.
Hey, just wanted to say that I discovered your channel by a coincidence only a dozens of minutes ago but I love it so far (maybe one of the reasons is that it's fascinating to me, a Czech village boy, to see an American with Czech roots :D). Your reactions seem really genuine unlike many of other reaction channels and generally you are fun to watch. Keep it up! :)
I think the reason behind the dodgy US chants is that Soccer attracts your geekier type in the US, whereas in the UK football is the working man's game.
@chazza47 true, originally working mans game but everything is so expensive now
It used to be but the powers that be don't want that anymore do they
@Marksmen16 So are schools but you don't do too well at that 🤦♂️🤡
@Marksmen16 Football matches are considered family friendly and all fathers will bring their sons.
@Swan I’m not sure you’re ever safe in Stoke, day or night
When you get insulted to your face by an Englishman, you know you’ve made a friend...it’s a mark of affection!
Not as much as England maybe but we’re pretty brutal in Italy too
We’ve a chant that literally says “Vesuvius erupting, whole Naples is destructed” on the tune of Free from Desire 😂
nice chants, in Europe we had nice Eurodance songs aswell in the 90ies that were popular worldwide however not in the US. You don't see many Americans reacting to this music like 2Unlimited no limit, Culture Beat Mr vain, etc,... cause its unknown to them, please react to this
I think the passion in the UK regarding football and the fans piss taking etc is all to do with the larger stakes in English football league, the consequences for failure for any club are harsh here and many clubs from decades ago that were top of their game are no where to be seen today. American sports generally are not tied to a league system like here in the UK and a poor performance across the year has little or no effect moving into the following season, certainly from a financial perspective.
Another difference between English and Americans is the fact that taking the piss out of each other is a cultural past time for us here in the UK, it is not in the States.
Factoring in the UK general population is a bastard race of Celt/Nord/Roman and Norman decent we're quiet the warrior tribal people at heart, football allows us to belong to a certain tribe/club, the 1970's and 80's bore the brunt of this as kicking ten bells of shit out of each other after a football match was the norm and the reason we were banned throughout Europe through the 1980's due to our ability to dish out extreme violence to opposing football fans. nothing to be proud of.
@Larry Buchannan I've been reading the comments section here for a bot of fun and a laugh but you keep popping up with these copyand pasted comments. Is your life so empty and lonely that you have to take your bitterness out in youtube comment threads?
If your so offended by "socurr" then don't tune in, simple. Football is the biggest most successful sport on the planet and all but Americans sing either; funny, often wity and topical, or simply beautiful songs.
Yalls don't do any if that at any sports in America, it all has to be produced artificially to create atmosphere.
@Larry Buchannan get some better grammar first then we’ll talk bud 😂
The English should stop romanticizng apalng babariism
The English should stop romanticizng apalng behavior
The English often describe thoroughly uncvlzd behavior as passion
There’s been many memes made of the “Fight and Win” Seattle guy😂he’s the spokesperson for cringe American football fans😂
@Ian Pilkington I'd love to take a pic with him, he's kind of a football icon in a way 🤣
Yeah straight in the 💍
If I ever see that guy, can you guess where I'm putting that mic of his? 🤣
Gotta give the fight and win guy who reminds me of Marshall Eriksen credit for bringing a microphone.
I love how Americans are getting on board with football. A lot of them really get into it and dive into the stats to 'catch up' and can tell you Nedved's pass accuracy on Tuesdays vs other days. It's funny but they're starting, it's nice to see.
Can't beat us English when it comes to hardcore football fans 💪
The Brittish chants are right up there with our own orange legion overhere in the Netherlands :') The toxic chants are the best man we're not getting shitfaced to make friends out there we wanna drink until we see 2 games, win both games, and have a fuckload of fun in the part we won't remember in between those things :p
Lovely seeing a fellow Geordie abroad. Keep up the good work mate!
A few of the American ones are trying to copy British ones, but doing it badly.
They literally sing Vindaloo but change the words to BBQ, and don’t shout ENGLAND after it. Missing the significance of vindaloo being very spicy and a favourite food after a pub crawl.
It would be cool to see you wife react britsh schools like the sires educating Manchester
@Felix Pierre that's actually would be better
Educating yorkshire 🤣
YES
I've heard "The referees a banker" sung at a game, The referee had a day job as a bank manager so it worked on two levels.
Yeah sometimes it’s creative, sometimes it’s low hanging fruit
damn, you two are awesome to watch! I would have so many recommendations of videos you should react to! There are literally hundreds of videos I would love you to see. And I promise you - they are a guarantee to grow your channel. Awesome, I liked and subscribed to you. Greetings from Germany!
That park chant was just hilarious. Andy Carroll was brilliant
“I believe that we will win” is the line you give to the character in a sitcom that’s bad at shit talk 😂
"At least it's positive"
Oh sweet, sweet child of mine; you are in for a ride 😂
When I started taking my son to football it was always on the understanding whatever we sing at the football we don't sing anywhere else and under no circumstances do we tell mum!
I went to a friendlies game one time and it was because my mum didn’t want to take me to a rival game because of the shit that goes down so I went in and this guy behind us was so funny he was just swearing at the other teams players calling them English pigs and shit 😂 it was hilarious
The Addams family chant hade me in stitches 😂
Love this! Swedish people got the same humor as Britt's do. What's your team if you got one? (Gotta check before I subscribe, can't sub. to a Liverpool fan 🤣)
He's a Newcastle United fan.
I can only hear Keeley from Ted Lasso in my ear saying,”You have no idea the power of rhyme in this god damn country.” 😂
I will always find it funny how that second guy was like "Yeah I killed that"
The football chants video that starts off with the Newcastle fans chanting about Adam Johnson should be your reactions next your wife will be shocked then 😂😅
This is the link esclips.com/video/mm62RmV3p_w/vídeo.html
You should check Argentine chants
The ones from inside the country like in-between teams in the league are brutal.
Now they changed the lyrics to one of them to adapt it for France for the fifa world cup final and I goes something like this:
Escuchen, corran la bola
Listen, share the word
Juegan en Francia pero son todos de Angola
They play for France but they are all from Angola
Ya van a ver, van a correr
You'll see, you will run
Son cometrabas como el p*to de Mbappe
They're all into trans people (but I don't know how to translate the slur) like the (another slur) Mbappe
Su vieja es Nigeriana
Her mother is Nigerian
Su viejo camerunes
His father is camerunian
Pero en el documento
But in the documents
Nacionalidad Francés
French nationality
Just found your channel, really love the dynamics between you two, do a reaction to either rugby's biggest hits or the time Britain nuked america twice
Football chants are classic . Witty and usually to the point .
Ji sung park actually came out and said he’s a fan of the chant about him surprisingly🤣
And changed his mind later. I feel like he was being 'polite' as a player, not wanting to risk annoying the fans
Good Reaction Guys.I am in my 7th decade of attending London matches so here is what some of these relate to. "Let's Pretend" was Tottenham fans losing 4.0 at Liverpool.
The racist chant against the injured Adebayoo was because he left one North London Team and played for their bitter rivals. Ironically the 2 teams are the same 2 teams in that later clip showing The Arsenal players about Tottenham. That WAS Ashley Cole, who is very arrogant and that was Sunderland fans at West Ham singing "Big DICK's Sunderland Army" as their Manager was Dutchman@Dick Advocaat.
Read somewhere that there is a strong element of truth to the Adebayor chant. Something to do with his Mothers' infidelity and subsequent penalty on his Father.
Park chant is class.
Its not hard racism lol, its playing on stereotypes. I like you guys but you can always rely on the american to make it about racism
finally someone that knew where the chants come from beforehand reacting together with someone that doesn't know it.
Love this guy! I’m the same situation but the other way around I’m living in the north east of England and have an American girl here it’s been so fun explaining how it all works here 😂
My wife is from Ohio, i took her to Elland Road. She loved it and laughed her ass off throughout.
Yeah, watching Leeds play would probably do that to most.
I forgot about the Adebayor chant🤣🤣😂
One good comparison sode by side, is the Philadelphia chant of No-One Likes Us, vs the Millwall one.
I have only just found your channel-YT actually recommended something good for a change-I have to say really did laugh at you both, in a good way, your reactions were so funny. To the Mr I bet you get a headache sometimes trying to explain our differences and understandings, no offence to the Mrs intended. "The referee's a wanker, a wanker" Ha ha no we would never sing that I did chuckle when you said it.
What was really funny was the Mrs at the start of the American chants was like "Oh yea" with a big smile, several seconds later her expression changed and she was like "This is sh*t" ha ha ha.
You was correct re Andy Carroll he had long hair, played for LFC then West Ham. "Elephant man" Is a reference to John Merrick who died in 1890, he had one of the rarest diseases in the world, Proteus syndrome, although that cannot be confirmed. Ashley Cole shagged anything in a skirt even though he was married.
When the Americans chanting and singing sounds more like the a lame cheerleading cheer routine 😭😂🤣 can’t breathe I’m wheezing like an asthmatic 😆😆
Fun fact: A reporter actually asked Park about the chant, he said he thought it was hilarious
I'd move to the US and watch the MLS if I could score a bird like that 🤣🤣
I'm a Londoner thats part American from my dad side. Its always funny to me cringing to American chants compared to over here😂
Imagine sitting your misses down to do this and sounding pretty much clueless while trying to explain 😂🤣
When I was a kid going to football, we had a family season ticket. Families would sit at the front of the stand close to the middle and all the yobs sat in the back corners. But yeah you accept your kids are going to learn some new words if you take them to the football. And we sang along for the simple fact we wouldn't get away with that language outside of the stadium.
The "kiddy" family in that instance was referring to the non league team Kidderminster Harriers. You can interchange that to the "Hammers" family (West Ham), the "Scunny" family ( Scunthorpe United), the "Gunners" family (Aresnal) or any other team name or nickname that fits the tune of the song.
@V C it gets sung at every East Anglian game I’ve been to: Norwich, Ipswich, [Peter]Boro’, etc
@V C tbh, I really don't know the answer to that, but the song was being sung at Kidderminster's ground in that video.
Wasn’t it about Norwich originally?
"The referees a wanker" I actually like that one 😅
Before I start watching I'm waiting for "I believe that we will win" 😂
Edit: there is it 😂
brilliant reaction love it.
The only football will get as big in the States, as it is elsewhere, is with fierce rivalries. Half the entertainmen, is the exchanges that go on between the fans.
I brought a Texan to a Millwall v Leeds game. He loved the pre match drink, the foghts that broke out on the qay to the stadium (this was in Leeds), and the ferociousness of the chants. These chants were pretty tame in comparison.
He vomes over now and then, just for the games
newcastle united fan here and i fell off my seat laughing at the american chants soo funny man
The best chant I heard from US is “THIS IS SOCCER!” On the World Cup def got everyone on the stadium triggered 😂
not even how the chant went. They said "it's called soccer"
The only good thing to come from Americans using the word soccer to differentiate the game from the strange orchestrated battles they call football is the term "socer moms".
I don't even watch football but as soon as you said you support Newcastle I was proud and wanted to shout "SHEARER!!"
I am a huge Tottenham fan but that chant gets me every time xD
As both a brit and an arsenal fan you were spot on with the Ashley Cole comment we can confirm it was about him
I forget who the bloke was but a few years back in UK League 1/2 there was a player who’d just come out of prison after serving time for causing “death by dangerous driving” and every time he went on the pitch we were chanting “murderer, murderer” at him 😂
I remember sitting in a sports bar in central Wellington, for the FA cup final between Millwall and MUFC. I and the 2 United fans in the bar (In the early morning) spent the first half explaining the rules of football to the Kiwis eg "no, it is not off side to pass the ball forwards", "no, there are no trys", "the players can throw the ball in any direction from the touch line" etc
I also remember being in a Berlin bar for a match between England and Germany, where the two Scots gave up and after half time and became honourary Englishmen for the second half, because they got tired of explaining to bemused Germans why they were supporting Germany and not England.
The kiddy family song was for the benefit of supporters of Kidderminster Harriers FC.
I think the kiwis were having a laugh at your expense, otherwise what were they doing there so early in the morning. Soccer is the third-most popular men's team sport after rugby union and cricket.
The geordie should know about the coloccini chant. It's by far the funniest chant I've heard
My home town Reading, had a great chant for our Korean striker. He shoots, he scores, he'll eat your labrador!! 🤣 🐶 😋
I'd love to see this between American Football and football chants because football in America is currently more of an upper-middle-class sport you don't see kids in lower-income areas playing football they play American football, basketball, and sometimes baseball but not as much these days so, of course, their chants are shite because they grew up with no suffering.
I’m an Arsenal fan and the last chant I always enjoy listening to 😂😂😂😂😂😂
No one does it better then us 😂💯
Her facial expressions🤣🤣
Soccer and football, we do use both in the U.K, and I like your explanation of American football 🏈 throwing the egg 🤣🤣🤣 🇬🇧👍
The only time we say "soccer" in the the UK. Is when we say it's fucking football not soccer.
@Gypsy Chicken No,Sorry your wrong once again, in fact I hate MAN UNITED and i always have, even when they had the likes of Charlton, Best, Styles, Law, Stepney and Kidd playing, Man they were a bloody good team ! ( they NOWDAYS always seemed to believe that they have a GOD given right to win every game that they play and what with that bloody Fergie time that was) and I don't like
arrogant LIVERPOOL all that much either, nor CHELSEA, TOTTENHAM, EVERTON, WEST HAM or most of the big teams come to think of it, I usually like the smaller teams like SOUTHAMPTON, FULHAM, CRYSTAL PALACE, LEEDS UTD, BRIGHTON and even BRENTFORD, the so called unfashionable teams of the PL, and I always love it when the so called minions put one over on the big boys, I fell out of love with football ( soccer) many years ago, for many different reasons, but i still occasionally watch MOTD, just to keep abreast of the going on's, as with the recent WORLD CUP I like to see the smaller nations do well, I have no affiliation to any one club these days, but LEEDS UNITED ( Marching on together,) ( LEEDS,LEEDS,LEEDS) were the team of my youth, the likes of Bremner, Giles, Reaney, Cooper, Clarke, Lorimer,Hunter, Sprake, Jones, Gray & Charlton come to mind, I didn't get to see many games live, as it was a fair way to LEEDS, and because of my age I didn't have the finance's, I also had a preference for MAN CITY back then, i liked their away shirts the black and red vertical stripes, to me it was spot on, with the likes off MIKE SUMMERBY, FRANNIE LEE, JOE CORRIGAN & the Legand that was COLIN BELL, proper footballers, not like most of the overpaid pansies that play the game today, My SPORT is Rugby League, not UNION, I've played it and now watch it, a real physical man's game, you may not like my sport, but each to his or her own, Now i don't know if you are a young male or female, or maybe you identify as gender fluid ❄️🦄🌈- (give me strength)
I've never been called a twonker before, 🤣🤣🤣 many other things yes but never that, and I certainly don't need to grow up, you may well have youth on your side but with that you also have the ignorance of youth ie SOCCER, but i on the other hand have had the experience of ( old) age 😇😇😇
I refute the comment of being brown nosed, because what I have said is oh so TRUE if you don't believe me then look it up on GOOGLE or whatever, and I only mentioned NFFC to wind you up, which it seems to have worked perfectly 🤣🤣🤣
I applaud you for following and supporting your team through thick & thin, win or loose, and for following on from previous generations ( when forest were no 1, CLOUGH ETC) and I have been to the CITY ground many years ago.
To be honest I hope you do IMPROVE and manage to stay in the PL but if not this season then maybe the next, but you definitely need at least one center back and a reckonised striker, the club will have to spend some money to do so ? new blood in the PL makes it much more interesting and exciting to watch, even if I only ever watch the highlights on telly these days.
So as it seems that we may agree to disagree on this matter
(soccer) never mind you'll learn, I know I'm right because I've been there, done that, and got the tee-shirt sort of speak.
It's soccer,soccer,soccer all the way baby🇺🇲⚽️👍
Football, Football, Football 🇬🇧 ⚽️👍
☃️☃️☃️ Merry Xmas, you misguided fool.
i love that, "the referee's a wanker" there isn't even a referee around, it'd outside the stadium lmao
This was too funny🤣🤣🤣
The Addams family one is about Kidderminster harriers and the my local team! I don’t support them so I love that chant 😂😂
