One of the best performances I’ve ever seen! Too bad it took the UK til the early 70s to experience the Motown sound that the US enjoyed back in the mid to late 60s.

The funk in this song is under appreciated, especially this version. Shame Frankie never got to hook up with Jaco Pastorius for a gig. They came from different worlds, but I feel like they could have torn it up for a night.

I saw Frankie and the 4 Seasons in the late 1970s in Portland, Maine. Don't remember him talking with the audience like this, but they were excellent.
